The Zarephath Health Center represents an example of faith in action. It provides a venue for professionals and other volunteers to use their gifts in practical ways by giving people who have fallen into hard times a way out. We believe that being uninsured does not have to be a cause for despair but can be an opportunity for others to reach out and help.
"The Zarephath Health Center provides free health-care to the poor and uninsured. The World Health Organization defines 'health' as a state of physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. Our goal is to work on all three levels."
After nearly eight years in a 900 square ft. building on a floodplain, God has facilitated the move to a beautiful 5000 square ft. former school building across the street. We now have five exam rooms, three intake rooms, a classroom, and plenty of space for volunteers to work. Additionally, we are right next to the clothing and food pantry run by Zarephath Christian Church.
